Teacher's Retreat 2023
For the first time, Immanuel Bilingual Class Primary School and Immanuel Kubu Raya Primary School were having a joined Teachers Retreat together, themed Hand in Hand. The retreat was located in St. Johanes Paulus II Anjongan. The teachers stayed there for two days and one night from 26-27 September 2023. On the first day, there were two Bible sessions by Pdt. Beni Samuel Regoh followed by group sharing where teachers did reflection about their relationship with God and colleagues.
There was also Talent Show where teachers gave their best performance in vocal group. All teachers were giving their best in that night show. The vocal competition was closed with BBQ where everyone sang and having fun together.
On the second day, there were games for the teachers. All groups competed to get the highest score in bakiak race, flour transfer, glass relay, and obstacles race. There were also jingle shouts from each group. There were lots of laughter and happiness on everyone’s face.
There was also a sad moment when some of the senior teachers were given opportunity to share their words. They are Bu Elda Manurung and Bu Herlina from IBC and Bu Editha Yosephine from Immanuel Kubu Raya who are going to retire next academic year. There were so many sweet memories and life lesson shared by them.
